  • Shopping sustainably, buying preloved, ‘nothing new for a year’, doesn’t mean you have to compromise on fashion, style, or buying on-trend pieces. The Second Row was set up to change the way people shop and show you can still have a stylish wardrobe whilst shopping sustainably. Buying second-hand or preloved is no longer associated with shabby, worn, or out-of-date clothing.

With fast fashion increasingly becoming a concern and alarming statistics about the quantity of clothes produced and ending up in landfill each year, The Second Row was established to provide a place to buy beautiful, preloved clothing with a conscience. Thousands of pieces of beautiful preloved clothing have now found new homes through The Second Row.

  • Set up by Katie, a former TV producer, The Second Row is the first of its kind. After years producing top entertainment TV shows and working for a long stint as a senior producer on ITV’s This Morning, Katie decided it was time for a career change and set up a preloved designer marketplace. The idea was to establish an outlet where you can buy stylish, hardly worn clothing at a lot less than its original price.

Using her contacts from her previous career, Katie sourced pieces from stylists, fashion insiders and celebrities and began with pop-up sales in cities across the UK called The Preloved Designer Sale. The pop-up sales had a huge following and featured in fashion magazines and newspapers. Next came Instagram and shortly after The Second Row was born; the essential online hub for desirable preloved pieces.
